Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past five-ish years, you’ll know that generally, as a society, we’re having more discussions about the issues that surround our plastic consumption, mostly thanks Craig Reucassel’s fantastic ABC TV show War on Waste.
For those of you who watched my recent Life Update video, you will know that Sim and I are in the process of buying a house. The movie is imminent! So there’s no better time than now to have a browse through my favourite homewares shops to get some inspiration and ideas for decking out the new place.
Seeing as it’s June and we’re already halfway through 2016 (argh!) I thought it would be a good time to reflect on how I’ve been going with the resolutions I made for myself at the beginning of the year. What goals have you set for yourself this year? Today marks only SIX days until I fly out from Melbourne and over to New York City – I can barely contain my excitement! I’m in NY for two weeks and I’m putting it out there for any of you who have visited this incredible city or know a lot about the city to throw suggestions my way about what I need to do while I’m over there.
I’ve recently added vlogs (video logs) to my blogging repertoire and so far I’m really enjoying it! In lieu of starting my YouTube channel, I’ve been thinking a lot about why we vlog and connect with each other over the internet. As I mentioned in my Minimal Make-up Routine blog post, I’m a relatively new convert to all things beauty related. I owe my (late bloomer) beauty revelation to a couple of bloggers who I’ve been following for the last year or so. Of course, blogs come in all different shapes and sizes but the bloggers I really engage with are often those who have an awesome website which is regularly updated, an engaging YouTube channel or a beautiful Instagram. If you’re into that kind of thing as well, keep reading to find out which beauty bloggers are my absolute faves.
Last weekend my fantastic partner of 3 1/5 years, absolute love of my life, proposed marriage. We were away for the weekend at a quaint cottage in Leongatha, Victoria (I’ve written a blog post about it here) when Sim asked me to be her wife. Yes, you heard me correctly I said her.
